Intensify

Uptime and incident tracking for small teams

Know your service is down before your customers tell you

Intensify checks your endpoints every thirty seconds from four regions, and tells the right person the first time. Priced per monitor, no seat charges, and you can export everything you have ever put in.

Set up in about ten minutes

  1. 1

    Point it at a URL

One field. It works out the rest, including whether you are behind a CDN and which certificate is about to expire.

  2. 2

    Say who to wake

A rota, not a mailing list. The person on call gets a call; everybody else gets a line in a channel in the morning.

  3. 3

    Set the threshold

Two failures thirty seconds apart, or five minutes of degradation. Both are yours to change and the defaults are deliberately not sensitive.

  4. 4

    Get out of the way

It only contacts you when something is wrong. There is no weekly digest and there never will be.

How we are different

No seat pricing, and your data leaves whenever you want

Two decisions that cost us money and are the reason people stay.

Charging per seat punishes you for letting the rest of your team see the thing they need to see, so we charge per monitor instead. And every account can export its full history — checks, incidents, response times — as CSV or JSON, at any time, without asking us. A product that holds your data hostage is a product that has stopped competing on merit.

What teams say

Moved off a per-seat tool and pay a third as much. They did the migration.

  • SSL expiry warnings have saved us two embarrassing Mondays.
  • The free tier watches my one thing and has for two years.
  • No mobile app. They say so on the site, which is at least honest.
  • Full export as CSV whenever I want, without asking anybody.
  • They published a postmortem for the time their own alerting failed.
  • Defaults are insensitive on purpose. Took me a week to trust that.

Can I get my data out?
All of it, whenever you want, as CSV or JSON, without asking us — checks, incidents, response times, the lot. The export you get on the way out is the same one you get while you are staying.
Why per monitor and not per seat?
Because seat pricing charges you for letting your team see what they need to see, and then you ration logins and somebody misses an incident. Invite the whole company; the price does not move.
How quickly will it tell me?
Thirty seconds between checks on the paid plans, and an alert after two consecutive failures by default. So typically inside ninety seconds, to the person actually on call.
What about false alarms?
The defaults are deliberately insensitive: two failures thirty seconds apart, from two different regions, before anybody is woken. You can make it twitchier and most people never do.
Is there a free plan or just a trial?
Both. Fourteen days of a paid plan with no card, and a genuinely free tier of three monitors afterwards that does not expire.
Who answers support?
One of the four of us, all of whom have written part of the product. There is no sales team to get past and no tier one.
What is your own uptime?
99.99% last year, on the same status page our customers use. The two incidents where we were the outage both have a written postmortem in the changelog.

Fourteen days, no card

Point it at one endpoint and see whether it is any good

No card, no call, no onboarding sequence. If it is not useful in a fortnight it was not going to be.
